IT Support and Automation Specialist (m/f)


Your tasks & responsibilities

Our Technology Team is looking for an IT Support and Automation Specialist to support our Head Office staff in their day-to-day technology-related challenges and to automate routine support tasks. In this hands-on position, you will manage the firms’ workplace infrastructure and applications. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Optimize and automate OS deployment as well as hardware and software support for standard equipment (PCs, productivity tools, cloud and hosted productivity tools);
  • Automate fulfillment of IT daily routines and tasks;
  • Ensure deployment automation of software and applications;
  • Invent smarter ways to support our staff in daily use of business applications and technology;
  • Troubleshoot applications and infrastructure issues, including hands-on involvement to solve them;
  • Respond and take ownership of incidents and requests received from our staff as part of the first line of support;
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge sharing and organize staff trainings on efficient use of our technologies;
  • Champion implementation adoptions of modern office productivity tools and solutions.

The skills and experience you need

  • University degree in IT-related subject and/or successfully completed apprenticeship;
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer/Specialist and thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office solutions;
  • Practical experience with:
    • Microsoft System Center, WDS, MDT scripting, PowerShell, Python, and other automation processes and solutions;
    • Automating IT and desktop support activities;
    • Working with and improving use of IT service management and ticketing tools;
    • PC imaging technology and processes;
    • Setting-up, deploying and managing O365, Sharepoint or Confluence, Jira, OneDrive, Exchange Online, MS Intune would be a plus;
    • Experience supporting DevOps environments would be an asset;
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory;
  • Understanding of Microsoft desktop licensing would be a plus;
  • Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents;
  • Systematic, customer-oriented and efficient working style, both independently and in teams;
  • Very good spoken and written English skills. German skills are an asset;
  • Willingness to travel abroad occasionally.
